I must admit, it is time consuming if you want to be competitive. But you don't have to compete for the top 10 in arena and you dont have to finish gw every day to play the game. You can have fun collecting and creating new teams. Once you reach the level cap you can catch up a bit and level new heroes.

With the next update or the update after that they will add guilds and other stuff. The game is 3 months old now, give it some time.

Catching up isnt possible when they release new levels, new gear, even new stars and new heroes too early. I dont know when the next raise is planned.

When you use the word "Can't" and apply it to yourself, you are already defeated.
Try to take deep breaths, make small goals and have fun. It might look like time is against you but the longer you play the stronger you are.

Don't expect anything to be quick and easy.

    Nothing is impossible.

At the level you are at is one of the hardest points in the game, your starting to see level 65-70 with leveled up gear, that is HUGE. If they are maxed, they can not get stronger, you can catch up & beat them. At the highest level in the game anyone can beat anyone. I know this very well. :)

I don't have a feeling they will increase the level cap soon. You're 61 now so you can sit at 70 for a while.
Just relax and see how it works out. You can't expect to do less than the rest in tour server and be competitive. So I would just forget about arena ranking and play the game

I beat nr 9 with high losses but with the goal to beat it and that i cant go further anyway. This is my nr10 opponent. It is a lot weaker than the 4 before...

You said you spent 30 minutes on GW. seems like longer than that.

Competing with elite, at anything, is time consuming and impossible to do with s casual approach. I doubt you could beat Stephen Curry in a 1vs1 pick up basketball game.

My suggestion is for you to relax, play as you like, and have fun. I'm happy with my success so far, but I know I'll be left in the dust sooner or later

Btw, Hans Olo, you play in my server. We have similar arena rank ( my timezone is right after yours, I sometimes sniped you after you reaped rewards). I DON'T face those teams. So, this reinforces the idea that having 7* geared guys make your GW harder. We share server, similar rank. The difference is I level my toons evenly, and don't have any 7*.

About the leveling, you get 900xp from dailys+360 energy =1260xp a day no crystals used and no money used, higest level jump is 4500xp and you are getting 5040xp every 4 days, not including the energy you recive when leveling up, this is by far the fastes f2p leveling mobile game I have ever played

    Oh... My... **** 'ing gawd!

You get what you want... You ****... You don't get what you want... You ****. Zzz!

Cmon, how can you **** because a mod/dev said they might not release this & that because of the way you approached the update/patch/whatever. Gratitude goes a long way folks, always remember that.

I fully agree with the Devs in regards to not releasing patch notes until said patch has taken place. As all of you'd like doing (by mentioning other games), dota/dota2 does the same, they only release notes with the patch, then we're not even talking about Supercell that only with the failed TH11 patch started releasing patch notes before hand.

You folks need to get off your high horses & exept that the game & Devs are still in the beginning stages of this game, the fact that you're expecting these PEOPLE to be almost gawd like is rather RE TA RDED!

You as a paying player have the right to ask questions... But not when it jeopardizes the well being of this game. Ever wonder if your questions are to direct? Well they are! To be asking for equations for certain algorithms is bordering on commercial sabotage! Yes I'm talking to you @Qeltar . Some peoples requests are just plane ****.

Get your head out the clouds folks. They're here to help you & make money, they go hand in hand in this sort of platform. The more you ****, the more I wish they would shut this beautiful game down, because you fu ck tards have shown no gratitude for anything these people have done for you & the lvl of enjoyment you keep on coming back to.

Yes, there are bugs, yes, there are problems but as I see it, if you're going to go about it by **** ing & moaning about every little thing, I personally wouldn't hold it against EA/CG for not producing facts & figures. If I were forum mods, I'd place a forum wide rule in place... If you can't produce a constructive post, your post will be deleted. Whining posts = gone. Non constructive post = gone. Complain about **** in an unorganized manner = gone. If English isn't your primary language, google translate is your friend!

To finalize, I think I'm going to stay off the forums for a while cause all I see is venom for people doing nothing but trying to make the paying/f2p people's happy... Which is everyone & at the same time none seem to be... Rather keep it as patch release notes than preview mods... It's better that way!

Why? Because I saw open hostility between devs and the community and thought it would constructive to wall it off, and politely ask people to consider the point of view from the other side as well as offer a suggestion to improve the experience for both sides. Sorry if that didn't come across that way to you @BentWookie

I honestly feel the forum will be nothing but toxic as long as the devs consider it as necessary but evil and that they only tolerate because they must. They are honestly coming across as hostile to us as we must be to them. At that point everyone needs to take a step back, realize that no man is an island, and consider others.

On the other hand, it is difficult to make sense of this forum as it has a bit too much activity and things get lost in the weeds.

All of this could have been avioded, and quite simple,

"Hey we have just discovered the refresh in GW is bugged so it don't cost the 50 crystals, as the other refreshes, we are working on something else, but it will be fixed down the road, enjoy it while it last ;) "

Or something like that, and many of those who are "angry" would be defendig CG instead

    Insanely true...

PROACTIVE is always better than REACTIVE!

Haha sorry. Off topic, but I just wrote up a thesis on how security monitoring in complex IT environments needs to stray away from a reactive mindset and go into more of a proactive mindset.

TLDR; Step up your community engagement. Most of the toxicity grows from the vacuum of silence from CG.

@AnotherMolEliza - Thanks for this post.

I agree that in order for things to get better both the players and the devs need to work together to move things in the more positive direction.

@EA_Jesse is our community manager and he spends a lot of time on these forums. I will occasionally send him messages at midnight or 6am, and he responds very quickly -- even on weekends.

@CG_AaronNemoyten and I do also try to spend time responding and participating here, but we also have other duties.

But it also feels we aren't keeping up with the volume of conversation here. Jesse and I have been talking about that and working on trying to improve that situation. I don't have an immediate solution, but we'll discuss options this week.

Getting the Release Notes for the February update posted this week will hopefully shed some light on all the things we've been working so hard on in recent weeks.

The game has now been available world wide almost 10 weeks. We appreciate all the support, patience, feedback, and passion you guys have for the game. I'm looking forward to what you guys think about the coming update.

    Thanks again.

Posting full release notes in advance is an excellent step in the right direction, IMO, for what that's worth.

''We saw the forums heat up and the toxicity flow. (And seriously folks, these forums are way too toxic, filled with conspiracy theories, and misinformation.''

I wonder if he asked himself the "why", this dude clearly hasn't been playing any of the high competitive games out there like League of Legends.

They created a highly versatile game with low versatility and updates with no sense of balance whatsoever in terms of the competition itself, just compare Poe with Han.

They dare restrict part of the roster to only the cash game casino that is chromiums and think they'll get no feedback whatsoever after some of those payers lose their ''exclusivity'', no wonder they come out outraged that F2P will finally get access to ONE of their benefits of paying so much money for 350 something shards of that specific exclusive hero they want.

I mean I see so much contradiction, I don't understand alot of the reasonning that surrounds this game's mecanics and structure, but the concept is so much fun and I don't think they expected it to sting people that much.

HEY!!! This is STAR WARS! The widest NERD saga of history, I mean you can compare it all to the beatles, how dare you expect ANY less then this.

On top of all of this, I do feel like we need more posts like this, we are all in the same boat

    One question.
If the 10 token refresh is considered to be a bug, would I be punished by exploiting the bug like refresh it a few times? I just don't understand.

    Wait..

All you did was quote him and respond to him. Why did you not just leave it in the original thread?

    Why duplicate it?

The reason things are "difficult to make sense of" in the forum is because people feel the need to write duplicate things over and over and over in many threads.

You brought *Nothing* new to the table, you just quoted an OP and responded.

What you effectively did was duplicate a thread that already was full of discourse and other user responses posted, cut those out and responded. This was nothing but a way for you to try to get your soapbox a little higher so people will pay attention to *your* views.

How is that fair to anyone?

    Except you.

Nice OP. (Wholeheartedly agree about 5pg BTW, I recently retired from Dawn. Go Schnzy!)

Thanks for replying, John. With some more open conversation this place and everyone's enjoyment could really improve. I'm hoping those release notes you mentioned will come *well in advance* of the actual update date!

Thank you for this John. Making moves to address the communication gaps and finding ways to improve the current state is an excellent step in the right direction. Apologies for my contribution to the "toxicity" on forums as of late. Many of us are passionate about Star Wars and this game, so the voicing of opinions is more likely to be fueled by this passion which makes it a bit more extreme. We really want this game to succeed and bring years of enjoyment.

Also the patch notes being released ahead of time is another very good move. Even if its only a few days before the release of a patch, the notes allow us to make preparations, as well as build up the hype.

A bug that was never mentioned or corrected for 2 months? Come on... you put out a product that people aren't happy with., even if the details are small the consumers have a right to voice complaints. When they feel like they aren't being heard there WILL be some venom in responses. Telling the comsumers that they are spoiled brats is one way to handle it. You could also listen to feedback and use it to make a more satisfying product.

NAILED IT. Sure hope I get my money back. So much not what I payed for. Then to be ignored then insulted. No way.

Exactly. A lot of people here keep complaining about various stuff when a huge update is weeks away. Let's just wait and see.

''BentWookie'' is absolutely right here, we used to get that feeling when reaching the 50's or so before the 70 patch, that feeling you're hitting a wall.

Games like these are about the grind, some are more dedicated then others and they should get rewarded for it, that's the whole point of competition, but in no way is it favoring the P2P, it is even less then most other mobile games that are out there, if you do pay however, you probably have to spend more then other games which does seem like a fair balance if you ask me.

The community is toxic becaus it's all do it or else

Do this or I will do that

    Nerf this or I quit

    Buff this or I quit

Make this free or I quit / your team is **** / this is a money grab

The team is to active or to silent

The game is too easy or too hard

Too much too do or too little

Costs to much or costs just right

Game is blank to this other game

I want more stuff or this sucks

    Ea is the devil

Cg is the devil combo with any of the above

I see your logical post but choose to ignore it and insert. Y own reality, why let the truth get in the way of better drama

Ban or not ban either way we hate you

Cheaters gonna cheat but we get to hate you cg eitherway because it's more fun

Police our own community??? No way we love the toxic drama

All of you are quilty because everyone uses the same thought in every post, cg can't win no matter what they do because if it isn't what you want you will come here and post 20posts until you get a Petition!

Then if its deleted or removed for being to toxic then it confirms your X files theory and then you post 20 more posts on how your human rights have been violated

This typically results in 20 more posts by your supporters to why you were wrong for being treated in a such a way by ea and or cg / devil then you post your United Nations sanctions about currency and why the United States sucks and then... Well

THEN FRANKLY WE ALL DONT CARE ANYMORE

so it's why we just post meme now because this community has lost any sense of balance or respect and this can go both ways but you ask unreasonable demands and the developer is limited to App Store changes for updates, policies for somethings and when they are wrong does it matter?

A sorry or reversal is just more fuel for your hate fire

Now hate on me for speaking truth to words because we all know your all good at it
