Past three days... Two cantina refreshes each day.. 10 Mace shards. That's pathetic. I know about 'cold steaks' but that's just wasted money right there.
I will start counting my cantina shards starting tomorrow as I don't have any hard data, but it "feels" the same to me...some days are hot, some cold, and some lukewarm.
All of my rolls have been really bad lately (for Challenge and for gear parts). I either got REALLY unlucky the past few days or something tweaked.
I mean like massively statistically unlikely unlucky. 120 energy and only get one purple part on many occasions is not normal. I could see one bad streak like that, but not several back to back and consistent over time.
I keep track of all shard drops. My cumulative rate was at 31%. In the past few days that rate has dropped to 29%. I've had some good drops on the LS/DS hard battles. 6 for 9 on JC's nodes today. Cantina has not been good. My rate there has been 22% over the last three days.
Been farming hard nodes Anakin / Ashoka and a total of one shard since update. People on this forum throw around rng and random like they know what the game back end is doing. This is a freemium game its tracking every player action and purchase. If you believe anything is truly random when they are trying to profit you're mistaken.

I haven't really felt a decrease in shard drops since the update, but it seems like everytime I'm on my last shard needed for a character I hit a major cold streak... That happen to anyone else?

What better way is there to get an energy refresh out of you then lowering the odds on a shard when you only need one more..
Hearthstone has a system where you cant go more than 40 packs without opening a legendary. They need to make it in this game that you cant go more than 6 rolls without a dropped shard

Stop calling it bad luck. Casinos get rich by convincing you it was bad luck/strategy... While they keep laughing all the way to the bank. In my opinion it should be between 35-50%... Not like you have a chance at jackpot!

I think 1 out of 3 attempt is not bad. I had been farming in Cantina since i was lv69 and im 100% spend all my cantina energy + 1 refill to farm Dooku. That is like 20 attempt per day since his node is required 12 cantina energy. Also i farm in the node 1-C hard dark/light side (6attempt combined) . So basically in 7days i got 52shards out from 182attempt. That is 28% not bad..
I as well hit hot, cold, and lukewarm spells. Don't really see much of a change, but I did manage to farm the 80 shards for mace in 5 days without spending a dime.
Mine is at the borderline lower range of normal pull @120 energy. Got 5 shards GS. This happened the 3rd time already since playing back in late Dec. Gear drops however are inconsistent. In a node with purple and blue gears, i got more purples than blues (8:2). I needed blues btw.
All those complaining about changes to the RNG and stuff, you really shouldn't play the lottery. Over the past several days I've been farming Mace in the cantina. Every. Single. Day. Using all my Cantina energy (120 daily) plus at least one refresh (two if I save up the crystals). That gives me around 240 energy = 24 sims. The lowest number of shards I got was, I think, yesterday, when I only got 5. This morning I got 9 using exactly 20 attempts. Since the Yoda event was announced I got my Mace Windu from 1/80 shards to unlocked, 2/65 shards. But yeah, clearly the droprates are nerfed... -_-
Sorry I didn't keep track of my sims but I've been going for Mace and I'm getting a lot of shards of him. No hard numbers but it doesn't seem nerfed to me.
It has been terrible for me the past few days. I feel like EA trying to milk every thing out of the Yoda event. I'm not surprised when they buff the other hard nodes to let people off guard about Mace/GS terrible drop rate due to the comments in this post

So the conspiracy theory is getting even more serious... now not only have EA manipulated the RNG, they have also manipulated it in a way that favors certain nodes while others remain low? I don't even know how to respond to something like that... Can't wait to see the suggestion that all those (like me) who get varied (but pretty stable) drops and disagree with the conspiracy theory are clone accounts of EA employees...

Thanks to people like you the casino gets richer and EA gets away with everything. "They make the game and say that's it's fair, so I should have absolutely no concer whatsoever because if i do bad, it's my bad luck and has nothing to do with the game".

Yes, its getting really ridiculous all the Ea conspiracy theories, people need to get a life. The drop rate has not really decreased, sometimes it's not optimal and sometimes i get more shards than usual.

Since the update I'm struggling to get extra shards, also lucky if I gain 2 shards including using a refresh.
I guess they didn't fix the whole cold streak/ hot streak issue they said they were looking into...
