Agreed. Look at the Arodium packs they offer. 750 crystals ($5) just for the chance to get Rex. And by all accounts, the drop rate isn't great. Costs some people hundreds of doll hairs for Rex. Again, it's what it's worth to you.
Because Anakin is such a game changer and no other character in the game compares... *rolls eyes* I'd much rather buy a $50 pack of crystals over the "we'll almost get you to Yoda" pack. Almost. I can't hate though, no one forces you to buy anything (pun intended), so the fact that people are out there to drop $60 on a pack like this is an amazing feat on the developer's part. Bravo.

its not like buying this pack is really going to save much farming time, even with it you'd still have to farm a couple months to get him 7*
It's 80 shards if you buy it (unless you already unlocked him then it's only 32 shards and then yes, it's a waste).
At lower levels you probably only have access to one Anakin stage. With no refreshes that's 80 days just to unlock him (average). At top level you have access to 3. With no refreshes that's ~3 a day and you save yourself almost a month. $60 for saving twenty days on Annie, shards for my leader toon QGJ, plus everything else and I had no prob buying it, I'd been farming him from as soon as I unlocked his stage and was at 30ish shards when the pack dropped for the first Yoda event.
Like I said you can get him for free so if you don't want to spend then don't. Plenty of people have already bought it, and plenty of people haven't.

I bought it. The total value seemed okay in terms of the # of shards. It put me ina good position to complete Yoda level 4 and 5 in the first event and 6 in this event. (I already had 7* Lumi, 7* JC, 4* Ashoka, and 4* MW)
Price is absolute. Value is relative. Offering is monopolistic. In summary, CG knows why they price it there.
The fact that the lower the price the more "bundles". They will save is microeconomics 101.
What CG sees is likely that the drop in price will:
- Bring more people to purchase but not enough vs the revenue they lose in Crystals and other purchases
- The game monetization suffers. If you get what you want quicker, later you have little to do, and they lose money. Like "burning" the minetization potential
What I am trying to say here is that CG is perfectly aware of this complain, but the pricing is decided based on sound economic theory and monetization practices

I agree, especially since they release a bundle that isnt even going to help with the challenge its being released for. Anakin is not a good idea to use against yoda, and buying this bundle will get you nowhere near 7* Jedi if you want 7* yoda

After reading opinions it is steep. Especially if you already have QGJ and/or Anakin unlocked, the conversion rate for the shards is underhanded thievery.
Lowering prices on everything would give more people who are willing to pay an advantage.
This game allows FTP to compete for top spots against $1000 players. If you lower the price of everything FTP would fall behind $20 spenders and there would be more $20 spenders (not enough to make up for the loss of high end income though).
So EA likely makes less money, the game becomes harder for FTP to complete, and Whales previously spent money gives them even less value.
The Jedi pack is priced appropriately to maintain the integrity of the game.

I understand what your saying but like I said if you compare to what else you can buy in this game for that amount it's actually worth buying this pack.

So for me, it was a shortcut and the bonus was some shards toward another character I really wanted, Yoda. So for me, the cost outweighed the time in this case. It wasn't that way for me with the Kylo Ren pack, but for this it was. To each their own. Each person determines value. And quite frankly, if they offered it again to those that previously purchased it, I'd consider it again.

It took me like three days to unlock a Qui-gon at the same level they're selling him for $60

The pricing on practically everything in this game has been out of whack, with the exception of the Dooku pack they had for $5 back in the day which sounded like the right price to me considering they don't support the game well, barely release content and seem to have an overall neglect for developing this title, considering the prices which are some of the most expensive prices I've ever seen in a mobile game...

And buying it a second time would be a huge waste, full Anakin card turns into 32 shards. You lose 48 shards in the conversion

How is it a bad price? For that price you can get around 7000 -7500 crystals which would equal to 3 mega chromium and even at that you might get scrap heroes and not even be able to upgrade, with this pack you get anakin and QGJ guaranteed plus 55 for QGJ and 25 for Ahsoka , credits, ability mats, and 1350 crystals, so for this price compared to what else you can get in the game is actually amazing [SöD]
You can justify one bad price to another it still means the same thing. Try comparing the pricing in this game to actual things outside the game that are much more reasonably priced. $60 is not a **** load of cash but a substantial amount.
Also is Anakin going to pay you out the money you dropped when he is obsolete with a new meta or a newer chatacter with similar abilities that are better? Maybe even Anakin 2.0
The pricing is set for EA to maximize their earnings and EA is doing something right cause there stock has risen from $58 to $64 in the last month.
Personally I think they are taking advantage of good people in the way casinos do and they can take a step back and wash their hands cause it's optional.
Why not offer 7*s for that kind of cash and not a 4* and a 2*.
Currently sitting with a 6* QGJ, 4* Ahsoka and 160 anakin shards still unlocked and I have spent $200 so far to date.
