With 1 I think they realized that they're going to catch flak no matter what they say, or don't say. So they're choosing not to engage the mob. That way they can focus on the game, let the mods do their thing. That brings me to 2. Why clean up the code if they're going to pull the plug soon? Save the cash and don't change the code. I've seen youtube speculation be completely wrong before, that is why I don't watch the videos anymore and the youtube crowd always make things way more dramatic than they need to be. I just want to know about the game, not ones personal vendetta against the company.

There used to be a Game Changer programme of which Ahnald was one. MobileGamer and Cubs Fan were also. It was shut down a while ago now, maybe a year or thereabouts but I think they were allowed to keep the test accounts for a while but then they got taken away.

Fact: Ahnald is the toxic one. He and most of the other “influencers” became bad and revealed their entitlement when CG dropped the gamechanger program. Their egos were HUGE at that time and to be truthful, they were turning on CG before the program was cancelled. They have been ranting and raving for almost a year now, and all the fake outrage has run its course.
Laws change every day, believe me, and the “fair use” practice will be revisited by the courts soon. It may not go the way you think it will because not only is there pushback on it, throughout the industrial world, many countries have already reversed it. Remember, the only people on the other side of it are thieves so, be careful where you pitch your tent when it comes to “fair use”.

I’m just not going to spend money on this game anymore. Everything is done to squeeze every last dime out of the players in a manner that continually reminds me of online gambling and casinos with stuff all returned. Banning Ahnald account was just another step so that when I layout cash I have even less clue what I’m buying and how it will perform.
I'm surprised that people still think that this "rebellion" is over ahnalds account. He himself has said repeatedly that the account ban is not the issue but merely the spark that lit the existing tinderbox of community unrest and unhappiness. I agree 100%. For sure it bums me out that he may not be making swgoh videos going forward (depending on the situation going forward) but the point of the discussion is to try and enact change in the game, the developer, and the relationship between the two and we the community.
