There are a lot of people disappointed about how this event has been introduced. So gloating in the face of someone who feels cheated out of an iconic character is just pathetic! There are plenty of players who have been playing for well over a year that didn't have old Ben or one of the other characters. Its not that they are 'dumb', its because they have put their resources into useful toons and gear. Some players picked that they would need Old Ben, STH etc and others thought that it was just Farmboy Luke or even ewoks. Just because someone else made a different call it doesn't mean people should rub their noses in it. EA wants to make money I get it -but the way they go about communicating what will be needed for specific events is really poor. Even though I should get CLS before the event finishes it doesn't make me want to celebrate the poor communication of EA and the insufferable gloating and put downs from players who have CLS unlocked.

CG communication was not poor. F2p should never expect to obtain a wait-for-it... legendary toon just because they played a year. The game is not a charity.

I could buy a new pc, phone and game console for what it would cost to star & gear 4 useless toons + sthan. And for somebody that spends over $30 a month here, it is an extreme case of play-for-suckers... I could buy any ea console game for my cost of 2 months here. Id rather play with kittens than spend a lot of real money on old Ben...

For everyone whining about unlocking characters, you really should step back and notice there is a PATTERN to unlocking these tier events.
    - When Yoda came out, you needed Jedi to unlock him which makes sense because it follows the Star Wars universe and storyline (he was a Jedi Master who trained Jedi).
    - When Palpatine came out you needed Rebels to unlock him. Again, makes sense, the Rebellion defeated him.
    - When Thrawn came out you needed Phoenix. Again, follows the story because they were his opponent.
    - When R2 came out, you fought him with Empire characters. Shocking, but still followed the story as the Empire has been constantly looking for "that droid".
    - Now when Commander Luke comes out you need (gasp) the original characters from the first trilogy to unlock him!!!
Fascinating! So all we have to do, then, is predict what Legendary character they will release 4 months from now and farm the appropriate team? DO TELL.

Plus empire, rebel & Jedi teams are viable raid & pvp teams. Old ben? Farmboy Luke? Even Leia? Mostly useless

When Yoda came out, most of the Jedi we had to farm up were trash.

CG communication was ****-poor, and you are a tool. Someone playing since day 1 got screwed because they didn't bother with weak-kitten old Ben

  • The devs have slaughtered all diversity. Stop farming toons you like or enjoy playing. Instead farm/spend money on, the ten prescribed toons they say you need and then unlock a new OP toon. Wow- thanks for encouraging diversity on the game.

This is pretty much bang on. At the very least allow for some diversity in the toons you need to unlock the latest OP toon - even if it "breaks" the movie/tv/cartoon tie-in for the characters involved. I know that's blasphemy for some to hear, and I'm sure that'll never happen, but if nothing else give us another way to unlock new toons besides following a pre-defined blueprint.
