The thing that is bothering me isn't free stuff - it's exclusive content... when you spend on this game, you assume a level playing field. This gives an advantage to a limited number of players that no matter how much an iOS user spends, can't achieve... please ea/cg... respond to this post

Not so much. I'm not a 4 year old happy because I got something someone else didn't. this is bad for the game overall. Anyone with an IQ over.. say, turnip would realize this.
I've been playing several months, lvl 83 and I guess those events were before my time as My poe is still low lvl and unused.
I can see some of you don't have the capacity to understand the bigger picture and that's fine. but until your state starts cutting me a check to educate their mentally disabled, it's not really my responsibility to walk you through it.

Well, its unfair - i agree - as it was the same unfair when apple got poe (who was an instant-win-button those days), as well as the last wedge/biggs as well as k-2 now ... as i posted in several threads (cant remember there were so many complain-threads when apple was in favor, but ok) i dislike it - even when i am finally in favor, i still dont like to see this happen.
BUT ... against your statement of missig IQ, i know, this "event" wont do anything to the game as a whole ... why? because im not naive to think, that 100 or 200 upset players will change anything. quit and 500 new players will replace you in just a minute - and even more once the new movie is out. sorry, but thats what i think, but i guess i just lack in capacity to understand!
Left by design. The fixed payout times are the worst part of this game and makes it absolutely family-unfriendly.
android users are probably less likely to swich to iOS because of promotions like this, their choice in OS feels even more like the right choice.
If promotions like this didn't have any positive effect on costumer retention or didnt bring any new customers they wouldn't be happening. Their highly paid marketing department probably knows their stuff better than you (no offence)

You'd think the fact that you can't transfer accounts is already enough for consumer retention. Only possible thing is perhaps the consumer thinking, "wow,look at three exclusive events for android! I bet future games will have them too!" which is a fair argument I suppose. I'm doubting how many people are out there where that would have an influence on their purchase, but who knows.
All i know is that there must be an angle. I just guessed it's to make people feel good/better about their choice in OS, not the assumption that there might be similar promotions in the future. You'll forget the free stuff, but you remain more convinced that the OS is the best choice. But I'm not an expert
This issue - google users getting free stuff - in Ron Burgandy's words, is kind of a big deal... free crystals, shards for an available character - these things would be an annoyance. What is actually happening, however, is an advantage that is exclusive to only a portion of the player base. iOS users cannot even get k2so. If I could spend money, which I do, to acquire the character, it would be an annoyance, but it would at least be more fair. I can understand why people are looking into refunds. Please developers, post something about this, even if it's just to say that you are aware of our frustrations and will discuss it and possibly act on it. I can understand if google paid to get rewards to its users, but exclusive content that the rest of us can't access, is outright unfair.

Personal attacks on my son.. Cool cool. Sorry, but my son has allergies and he can't share a lunch. He can't have pets. He doesn't get to do a lot that other kids do because of his severe allergies ( eggs, wheat, soy, dairy, fish, sesame, etc). He understands that the stuff he shouldn't have may harm him so he's ok not having it. My wonderful, caring, sweet but severely allergic child gets that life isn't fair much more than you. The game offers gambling in packs where no one gets a garuntee of anything good, but if some get something everyone else needs to? Right. Go to the casino and complain about their business model.

I am incensed. I am incensed that I got Biggs instead of Wedge. I could easily farm Biggs' X-Wing. That thing shows up all the time. I already had Biggs 7 star since he is so easy to farm out of galactic war. Everything about Wedge is harder to farm. Android users got screwed.

It doesn't matter what was free, when, or how good it was - EA should not be giving away exclusive content to some players that others have no way of accessing. We can all agree on that.

Actually, it's limited time exclusive content, which isn't as big of a deal. I think the bigger issue is that they appear to be giving an entire 7* character away, along with more than enough credits to promote that character, for free. Hopefully we poor iOS users will get the same deal for Cassian.
If before spending any money, players were warned that certain platforms would get an advantage, I would be more understanding. There was no notice - this is what is unfair.
Ok, while I agree that it's definitely a risky proposition, allowing a company to pay to provide content to users of their product is not a bribe. It's legal, has precedent, and in fact frequently happens in the tech world. So I understand not liking it (I don't either), but let's not make false accusations.

You got something for free IOS users can't get at all. We can't farm him, buy him, or access him. At least you have the ability to farm Wedge, even if it's slow. I seem to remember ios users getting an event on earth day that was iOS exclusive why can't people just enjoy the game

C) The Earth Day event was a not-for-profit initiative, not a money grab
D) The reason people can't "just enjoy the game" is because they are disadvantaged based on their OS system. How much would you enjoy monopoly if the other player got 5 hotels for free?
They shouldn't let certain platforms get certain content when we all play in the same arenas. You get rewards based on team composition. You can pay for a better team composition, you can pay for more crystals. No amount of money will get me k2so right now, and that isn't right - not without notice before spending money. It changes the playing field.
