You are a whale. How far have you gone to prove it?

20k is outrageous IMO. I've spent some money but could I buy a new car with my total? Nope lol

To each their own. I don't care what ppl do with their and others money and i wouldn't spend those k's in this game either but that is just bc i don't feel accomplishing anything with € so have to go the hard way. Same goes in many other things not just this game. :)

Since USD to my local currency is 18:1, yes I have overspent in this game. I'm taking a break from spending, until the next aurodium reset and bug fixes.

I struggle with this myself. I don't want to add up what I've spent so far but it makes me uncomfortable. Nothing against those who freely spend BTW. I believe in capitalism and all that and if you got it, use it however the heck you want.

I have some room to play, but not that much so I think I'm getting to that better slow down marker. :)

    Impossible to have spent more

Yeah you definitely need a few bigger categories! I think I'm a kraken, currently spent more than 15K and no sign of stopping soon!

Lol man its all good. Honestly I'm personally happy the krakens exist. They keep the game running. No problem at all with people killing it on here.

    @John_Matrix1985

Has he ever said what he has spent? I would be curious what the "high score" for spending is.

All I know is that if they want to get me to spend more than a monthly crystal boost in the future...they better come up with something better than chromiums. Since I maxed Echo out, chromium literally has nothing left to offer me because all the other exclusives are seven started now as well. And Grievous (whom I have at 4*) isn't really on my radar for advancement lol

All these whales and I'm just down here in the lower middle class like. :/
I spent $50 I didn't have to support the game.

How much money a month do you spend on Comcast/Dish, ISP, Movie Theater, Red Box, Put-Put golf or ammunition for target practice at the range?
Interesting question, given this is just another source of entertainment. Is spending money on this game any different than going to the movies? Both are non tangible expenditures from a certain point of view.

People spending shrimp and dolphin levels of money support this game. The whales are in the minority.

Your smaller expenditures multiplied by tens of thousands others like you are the main revenue stream here.

    @Ashishin

Very true. Though you did name about 5 different forms of entertainment to compare to just one.

At the same time this post was never to call anyone out. I don't think anyone has spent to much. It has a lot to do with what is within your means and how much time do you get enjoyment out of this game versus dollars put in.

Just south of the us wink wink, so a crystal vault is two week's worth of food.
I've never run the numbers but i think ive spent $1000 usd in this game. Not whale enough, but over 60 chars unlocked and over 35 in gear 7+, most are now 5* and above, some chromiums only nearing max level.
No more. I'm tired of the no response from development, they simply do not listen to us, nor care enough if not they would've fixed the credit crunch, gear-gate and Gw as quickly as they fixed echo, the low droprate in raids and other hotfixes. Their customer service is great, since they know I've paid a pretty penny.
FTP until further notice, no longer refreshing energy until the 200 limit, just the 50/50 and no more recklessly buying so much gear in shipments (well maybe if a furnace comes my way ill only pay for that furnace)

All these non judgemental responses to how much people spend and I'm just reading this with my jaw hanging like, "what planet are these people on?"

If you're spending tens of thousands on a pretty simplistic game app, I don't care how rich you are, you need better priorities in your life. Do any of you whales give to charity at the same rate of yearly expense?

I'm not naive enough to think there aren't obscenely rich people in the world, or that I might come across some of them via a gaming community, but I really do have to wonder how many tangible real world items might have been bought for that kind of money. Can I make a humble suggestion that one of you has a go at switching to f2p for one month and spending the same level of money on a decent charity you care about?

Hey better than supporting an oil company man. At least you get to play this game and feel better than those you crush. That and you aren't polluting the environment.

I like the post. Gives people a good metric of what others are spending.
My statement was directed at people who are negative towards those who spend money on this game, which I was not attempting to say you were one of those. If it sounded that way, my apologies.
People's money and what they spend it on is a personal choice. I have a tendency to inject some perspective on the forums, even if I don't agree with the perspective I'm posting.

    Knew this was coming. .
This game is just entertainment. If you study and work hard some day in the not so distant future you will also be able to enjoy thousand dollar entrainment. I've spent more in 24 hours at a casino than I've ever spent on this game. I've spent way more on a weekend in Tijuana ;)
It's all relative... 5k to me is not the same as 5k to a student or twenty something starting a family.

I tried to give to a charity once but my General Grievous wanted to be 7*. :D

Again though we can spend our money as we choose. I wouldn't give a dollar to a homeless person but I'll be buggered if i dont have ma clone team hahah.

All kidding aside man GOH is a good game and it's easy to spend money on it.

Serious question to all whales: How are you able to do this? Do you work as a top Manager for Bill Gates? This is a lot of money for normal working people, that have to feed family, pay rent and all that stuff. Are you using your families credit card? Or do you even make money out of it that you are a whale? I am not trying to make anybody feel guilty, but that much money for a mobilephone game, which is free, does seem a bit exagerated...

While I'm sure some of the people spending that much make six figure+ salaries, I would imagine that the majority simply lack the skills and/or self control to properly manage their money. That or they have a bad gambling problem, and this is just another manifestation of it.

Wow pretty good account for 15k, did you purchase a lot of premade gear for gear 9+ or farmed in raids

I don't get the point of giving money to homeless people. Clearly they are the definition of people who don't know how to manage their money. They are such a downer when you are walking through the city trying to have a good time.

It funny cuz i resisted all the zynga facebook games, candy crush and clash of clans.
Heck i even played Myvegas slots and never put a cent in (and got buffets and circe du soleil tickets as rewards).
Second day in I buy the dark side pack and I went deep into the dark side.

Lol spend your money however you want but what's the fun of buying everything? Aren't you supposed to get joy from unlocking things from grinding and working for it? Good God waste 10K on something else instead of a game that will probably be obsolete by next year. Reminds me of a buddy of mine who bought a ps4 simply for Madden and spends hundreds a week on MUT knowing full well the pixels will be worthless by next season and will do it all over again.

    If you aren't at $10,000+ you aren't a whale.

    That's what whale means.
