The event dropped in Dec, everyone who wasn't ready then should just need to 7* R2 right now. So get R2 to seven stars and you are ready. I don't know how many newbie guides state that get Phoenix and ANH rebels as your light side farms. The only people with any kind of real "beef" are those who started in January of this year, and late game content shouldn't even be a worry right now. If you been playing since at least last June, you should be ready no matter when the events drop.
I don't have JTR, I don't sweat it. I am on my schedule to be ready if it comes this summer. If it doesn't then I will be ready for it later. If its sooner, then oh well. I made other things my priority.

This is a game about planning, and so giving people no warning about impending events feels ultra-punitive and it is absolutely upsetting.
You will see every time that the people that are angriest are going to be the ones that aren't ready. That's natural -- but not being ready doesn't mean those players have no right to be angry and being ready doesn't mean that the way the event notifications are being handled is okay. This game provides a pretty large number of priorities to chase, and the STR just added a big pile of new priorities to chase.
For a long time, something that was very gratifying for me was knowing that something was coming, and figuring out if I could do it in time -- planning around that window of time. Those time windows have gotten progressively shorter and more punishing and now I just can't enjoy that aspect of the game any longer. The windows feel constructed to drain us, instead of guide us.

Also, thats sorta the point. You re exchanging CLS for thrawn. If you wanted r2 so much why didnt you just farm 5 empire toons? GMT, Magma, Storm, Snow and Starck are really easy farms.

@QuendiX A lot of folks have been asking for the events to return, so in this case, everyone is getting an extra opportunity. I understand being close to completion on required heroes for evens and needing more shards for those heroes, but there will never be an event calendar that lines up perfectly for all players at the same time. Which touches on the other reason they're releasing different events at the same time; players are all at different places and some have what others don't. More events is more options. I hope you can unlock the heroes you want soon.

And if you are going to complain about Vader, need to also complain about Shoretrooper, Deathtrooper, Krennic, and Tarkin. To labor the obvious, the R1 tag is most likely to help us when selecting toons for TB in case you don't have your team preset already (or if you just want to check the status of your R1 rebels at any given time). I appreciate any improvements that help me further filter my toons.

My first thought with all of this was that there is a big new meta toon (no doubt a sith raid specialist) that will shift the balance of power, that and/or a level 90 and more g12/or even 13, despite their protestations that this is not imminent. Moving both JtR and CLS forward like this feels like they want more people to have them because they're about to create a new class of haves and have nots and the disparity would be too great if the have also had CLS and JtR.

@CG_RyDiggs@CG_Leviathan I had a question about the renaming of darth Nihilus' s Kit ability. As you guys are following a convention here with darth sion also , you are renaming the unique for Nihilus "Lord of Hunger". So shouldn't darth traya kit renaming also follow that same rule. She is called the lord of Betrayal. but Reading her unique kit I think the kit name of unique ability can be Lord of betrayal too. as she is cleansing a sith but also penalizing them at the same moment. And compassion is weakness this name can be used for her leader ability, as she penalizes assist based teams. But I think right now in game the names are the other way around . I don't know if it is ok or not but thought I should bring your attention to that before she gets unlocked by many players. Also We would definitely love some traya gameplay footage ,as some guilds are already successfully beating heroic and her kit is super awesome.
