Well, this event has definitely prevented me from being a casual regular spender from now on... I sort of expected this to be similar to Thrawn and needing Phoenix... boy, was I mistaken! $50 not wisley spent on the initial packs...my loss... but also my gain, as I will absolutely not spend any more on this game.. I'll play for sure, as I enjoy it and the guild I'm in... but that's it for spending.

Well better late than never. Learnt 3 years ago that unless you spend 10K it's not worth spending anything at all

So true. I haven't ever spent but when ever I'm tempted I look and see how little you get for your money and decide against it.
  • Can we get ability mat packs to coincide with this event?

Likely 3-6 months. Wasn’t CLS 6 months? Pretty sure JTR was three.

You're assuming again, though. Assuming is what got us into this mess, assuming their cadence would follow a logical release structure.

Crumb clearly said "no timeline for return". He also said there'll be another chance to go at it.

Carrie clearly said they have everything planned out far in advance which is why changing their schedules is harder than it seems...or something to that effect. I don't recall the exact quote.

Either there is a plan for his return, or there isn't. I'm seeking clarification. They're talking against each other if it's in the short term. So how far out is his return?

If it's already been stated they dont have a timeline for his return how do you expect them to give you answer. If you want Jedi Revan, keep farming so you will be ready when he does return. If something else is more important to you then work on that. Get every character to 7 stars as quickly as possible then when a big event like this happens you will always be ready for it!

    Bring on the Tusken rework!

Where is the change from Legendary and Heroes Journey to only Legendary in the text?

He's nitpicking and making the case that because this is a new event type - "Ancient Hero's Journey", that it doesn't apply. Whatever it takes to defend the guys and gals in charge.

Hes not really defending them. He is actually just trying to get an emotional crowd to be logical. That's his mistake though, emotional people are very rarely logical. Emotional people only see things from their own perspective no matter how much sense the other person makes.

    Please give us double drops!!!

    Lol keep dreaming
  • Controversy is over. Time to move on.
  • Well, that settled that. Well done! Had you not come out and cleared all this up with your calm and logical thought process, we would never have had any peace of mind again.
I'm going to go ponder the sound of one hand clapping with my new found spiritual calm. Thank you, oh zen master.

Ha ha u sir are a savage keep up the good work
  • I know that many of us are upset of how Revan is being released like this.So I'm here to settle this Conterversy about Revan. So as I see all the comments on the Forums and YouTube I see one thing and one thing only we will sadly NOT get JKR this time around. So I believe that Revan will come back Early 2019 so maybe Late February or the beginning of March same with CLS.So ladies and gentlemen of the Galaxy make sure your OR Characters are ready for when this Legend will return.

Thank u for posting. U seem like u genuinely wanted to maybe help in some way. Keep being yourself despite these savages replies (funny but savage). With that outlook on life ( and spellcheck (just kidding)) u will go far and be happy in life kudos
  • Ok CG.... it‘s time NOW for Revans Kit reveal!!!
You warnt us to spent money, then give us some details!!
  • I agree with @JKRvsDarthRevan. this is the LONGEST kit release since character announcement.

Yesterday, a user revans kit was posted.
The post was deleted very quickly.
I do not know if the information about his kit is correct
but if it's true then Revan will be very good.

    translated by Google
Gibst du jemandem die möglichkeit zu fliegen, dann musst du **** rechnen das er fliegt!
  • After all it's a heros journey... so Revan should be on the same level like CLS and JTR BUT still I wanna see the KIT !!!!

On the table can only mean on the nodes. Kyno needs to defend them, he always will do so and that's fine, but let's not pretend they meant anything else.

Farmable = stores; sure. No denying that.

But on the table is a pretty clear suggestion that they'll be on nodes to farm...and that's where folks are getting it twisted. It's been spelled out over and over.

The insinuation was strong that they'd be on the table (nodes) longer than before.

    /shrugs

I dont need to do anything, but according to that statement they are following the cadence. they did. They stated they will be on the table before we need them, they were. That statement has no misleading information. anyone interpreting this to mean they would have had more time, is unfortunately putting a spin on it that is simply not stated. what we think something "suggests" is our interpretation.

being upset over the short farming time, has nothing to do with that statement.
Kyno, have you noticed how many English speaking people have "misinterpreted" the information given? You can defend all you like, as is your right but clear and concise public relations doesn't lead to the mass confusion of customers. Her statement says, that they will be "on the table by the TIME they are needed"... The only thing that is open for interpretation is when they are needed. When addressing a customer base it is standard practice to think of their needs primarily. So from a customer's stand point, "when needed" is the point at which introduction of said product coupled with instant focus from the customer will result in the required result. From a cynical and potentially 'bad faith' stand point, the "time they are needed" moves closer to the event's close. If they were Farmable on the final day of the Revan event, it could be argued that they were "on the table by the time they were needed". So, sure, you can defend but we all see the truth.... The implication was misleading and implications that are open to loose interpretation should not be being made at this level. Carrie is a professional and is very aware of the customer's view point and as such should be put to task when making statements that are clearly designed to make customers feel that they are being looked after.
Anyway... you get the point...as does everyone else.

I hate the term “whale,” by the way, it’s a jealous perjorative used by people who can’t afford to spend but want to feel morally superior like not spending is a choice they madde instead of a circumstance they just happen to be in

It's a casino slang term to talk about high roller and big spenders. It was first borrowed by the F2P publishers to label the demographic of high spenders and it seeped to the general public via interview and papers on the topic.

Yeah, and “non-plussed” originally meant to be completely baffled and confused by something and now it means to be passiveky unimpressed, what’s your point? Words have multiple meanings and usages. That it used to be a casino term doesn’t stop people here from using it to describe anyone that they lose to in Arena or anyone who can do better in a raid/territory battle than them.

Aaaannnnd here we have a whale taking it personally.

And no, there are people who can afford to spend, choose not to, and refer to those that really spend alot as whales and krakens. I don't see how that translates to feeling morally superior and neither do I see what is wrong with that. It is just a category of players with a certain level of spending compared to the rest of the flock.

I don't know where you live, but it's Sunday. The unpaid interns may be at the office, but it's still effectively a ghost town. EARLIEST you'll get any sort of reveal is Monday, possibly even Tuesday since I'm sure they'll want to give the GameChangers time to make some showoff videos.
  • As someone working in the IT industry, I can't grasp the fact that an expensive product is about to go out that needs significant rushed changes the weekend prior to release. No chance it's tested properly. As the game grows, new characters continue to throw more complexity into any testing... yet things are getting released faster than ever.

It's a license to print money in this racket I guess.
  • @JKRvsDarthRevan not like JTR please. shes overrated. without synergy her kit collapses. :joy:

JTR was a complete joke in arena. can be beaten by 3 star MT lead and stayed in the meta for 2 months max?
zEP took over February or march

I’ll say 3 months killed JTRs value and she faded in arena quickly because of it. CLS was closer to 6 and he dominated in that era while fewer people had him, and there was no toon that was as powerful as he was. I know they won’t do it but revan should be 9 months. Because the community vitriol is flagrant.

Jtr coming back sooner didn't kill her effectiveness in arena. That was due to more meta changing toons coming out since then.

JTR kryptonite was actually released BEFORE JTR. That being the NS.

This surprises you coming from an IT company that until recently did not even give in application notification of upcoming downtime and still schedules said downtime during the time frame where it impacts the largest amount of customers? These are IT change management amateurs.

This is exactly like a marquee event, the only difference is that you can’t unlock him at less than 7*.
We can cal it Ancient journey or whatever but in reality Jedi Revan is a marquee toon. Instead of buying his pack after release you buy the 5 toons pack to get him.

The other différence is that you have to pay before the release of the toon and his kit so we can call it a Blind Marquee lol. However it seems that his price is a little bit lower than previous marquee toons ... well more the same price.

Except that I bought the Hound's Tooth bundle a couple months ago and the last time I bought anything was the Slave-1 bundle almost 2 years ago. Your assumption that I'm only defending things because I'm taking it personally kind of indicates that maybe the word "whale" is flawed and maybe there really is some sort of thou doth protest too much going on here when people bandy it about.

Funny, I didnt know that other marquee events came back after release. Also I didn't know that other marquee characters never went F2P farmable. This is an Ancient journey and if you want him this first time around you have to drop between 150-400 to get him.
