Anyone have a situation where you get charged for the "free gift" ? I applied a $50 to my account, it showed up, and then I went to the Play Store on my phone to redeem the gift. Upon getting the item (which I did receive in-game), it actually charged me $50 for the 3000 crystals and 7* Rey....(plus tax!). I put a ticket in but they don't seem to know what I mean.

i was offered to buy the reward again with money after redeeming the free one by pressing buttons in play store in a wierd order ... but i knew i already had it gotten for free and second i noticed the price wasn't set to 0 by a voucher so naturally i declined ...

I got the same issue(49 pounds charged). Case open with EA and after a lot of screenshots escalated to their specialist, last update a week ago. Still waiting for my money back...
Same here. I was careless and 25$ "promotion" bonus charged me for 21,38$. Don't even know if there any sense writing in support, since they answer for a week, and when they even do - they redirect me from one "specialist" to another.
I guess EA now just literally robbing players, if they let their guard down...
Australia promotion starts very late on 4th December, if it could have started earlier I would have a need to buy the gift cards and use them in game, but not after all the sales are over

I still haven't heard back from anyone (ticket #35972187 if anyone wants to look at it) about my issue, then today I got an email asking if I still needed help since "more information had been provided", yet no additional information is on the ticket.
Seems like a few others have had a similar issue, the "free gift" actually using the gift card credit up.
It is getting worst. They have closed saying that no one else reported it and they can't see that I was charged.
After re opening it, they are asking for the same information I already sent....
At long last after 4 weeks EA finally sent me rewards for my target purchase. Had to get it up to the specialist area and then provide proof of purchase.
Yikes. Glad I popped in here to check. I had successfully done multiple Google Play cards this month and was contemplating one last one.......waiting to see some resolution to these issues.
EA finally sorted for me too, took 17 days and countless emails to get this reward honoured. I'm very sceptical of buying any further cards as the amount of effort and time it took to honour this was unacceptable in my opinion.

I had that happen yesterday to me with a $10 card bonus. It charged me $7.50 plus tax for the reward. Somebody on google's end has asked for screen shots and I replied with them and they then replied thanks, so It's being looked at on their end.
I bought three of each tier within the first few days of the promotion from Walmart and the rewards showed up appropriately. Those ~15k bonus crystals have finally run out. Has anyone tried getting them a fourth time and confirmed that the rewards do not show up?

Any idea how you got them to do the reversal? I've put two tickets into Google, they get auto-replied as "nah, contact the developer" within a minute each time.
So I bought 25 euro google play gift card for Europe for my German account .. I receive 25 euro but no in-game gift.. Used g2a.com .. Should I contact support? Otherwise I feel little baited as it cost 28 euro with fees...

With previous experience dealing with EA customer service, it’s the last thing I want to go through again.
