For A respectable company such as EA, delivering the best customer / player experience should be there No.1 objective, if google paid them to give a new character away to android users, EA should refuse their offer, because they are already making money from their customers / players

In fact i do know how business works, and i also know that if a business decision is made to receive an amount of money on the account of losing half of the customer base is just a bad business decision or a bad investment. Was the amount paid by google really worth it for EA to take a risk at losing half of their customers ?

You've all completely missed the point because you're blinded by a juvenile love of a phone operating system.
It's not about what phone you use, it's about treating all of your customers with respect, and a big part of respect is basic fairness. And this isn't fair, and it can't be made right with an iOS event with a different hero. Everyone who plays the game should have the same opportunities to compete and to experience the game's content.
Apple has also gotten perks in this game that Android users haven't. It's called "non linear" - is not the same for both, but as long as it's relatively balanced (and it is - some of you have very short Poe, Lando, Ewok memories), it's fine. And as long as Apple and Google keep handing EA money that goes into the game, everyone benefits.
Or people could selfishly rage because it's Android's "turn", ignore the history and the facts and complain about it on internet forums.
I think that objectively speaking android users have had better "perks". I think poe/phasma was only in the USA, i didnt play back then. And to be honest, I don't remember lando nor ewok at all, maybe that was also before i started playing. But it's actually irrelavent wich OS had the better perks, it's unfair either way.
In the long run i haven't noticed anything of consequense in arena due to OS exclusive events though. So the impact of the latest 3 OS exclusive events (wedge/biggs, free shore/pathfinder pack, this droid) will probably be not noticable after some time.

If that were truly the case then yeah, it most certainly wouldn't be worth it in the slightest. HOWEVER this is simply not the case. To lose "half" the player base would require every iOS owner who plays SW:GOH to all up and leave and thats simply not going to happen lol. At the very most, a hundred or two might leave and even that's a stretch. THIS is why they aren't worried.
Quit complaining. Both android and IoS have advantages. My son on IOS got wedge (very long farm) instead of biggs (easy peasy). My son can get the crystal purchase above a vault. I can't. My son had exclusive packs available I did not. I got a few extra shards of a shore trooper that I still can't unlock... big whoop.

character with a bunch of other resources. Obviously debating isn't your strong suit.
They give away a 7* character so easy... And still we have those tournaments where its almost impossible to get more than 20 shards....

As an iOS owner, and one that absolutely despises exclusive events, I think this time is different. Maybe we should all just wait a couple days and see what is in store. Maybe Cassian Andor will be free for iOS (the datamine seems incomplete, btw). Maybe iOS will get an awesome empire character, I am really pulling for this because all of these rebels are extremely boring to me. We need some balance. Just relax, there is more to come.

But kidding aside although it may not be a bribe it is bad business practice. I could understand a few packs or similar, but this is a completely new 7* character and a shitload of omegas/credits that will skew the whole game in favor of f2p players over other f2p players. Especially on newer shards. Personally my shard is older thus having mostly lvl 85ies already, and personally I just hate missing out on a new toy to play with. Just adding salt to the wounds seeing all those unlock announcements turning up in guildchat.
